FishingLicenseCheck

Corrections

License fees and rules change, sometimes mid-year and sometimes without an announcement. If a figure here does not match the official page, we want to know.

Email corrections@fishinglicensecheck.com

What to include

  • The state.
  • The specific figure or statement you believe is wrong, as we show it.
  • The official agency page you are reading, with its URL.
  • The date you looked at it.

A link to the official page is the single most useful thing you can send. We will not change a figure on the strength of a report alone — every correction is verified against the agency source before it ships.

How corrections are handled

  1. We re-fetch the official source and compare it to the committed record.
  2. If the source has changed, the record is updated and its review date is bumped.
  3. The change is recorded in the site's data change log.
  4. If a field can no longer be verified, the record is downgraded and the page is marked incomplete rather than left showing a figure we cannot stand behind.

What we cannot help with

  • Buying, replacing or refunding a license — that is the state agency.
  • Enforcement questions, citations or legal advice.
  • Season, size, bag or waterbody rules, which are out of scope for this site.

For how figures get here in the first place, see methodology and sources.
